(Patria) - After questioning the suspect in the presence of his lawyer, the acting prosecutor submitted a motion to order detention for the suspect Mustafa Vrabac, born in 1985 in Sarajevo, a citizen of BiH.
Detention measures have been proposed for reasons described in Article 132, Paragraph 1, points b) and c) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH, namely due to the risk that the suspect might obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence, and influence witnesses or accomplices if at liberty.
The suspect is under investigation for a corrupt criminal offense - accepting a gift or other form of benefit for trading in influence, and is accused of having contacted a person in the past period and demanding for himself an illegal property benefit in the amount of 10,000 euros in order to, in his capacity as an official and employee of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, attempt to influence and obtain a more favorable status for the alleged suspect.
The BiH Prosecutor's Office, together with partner police agencies, continues to carry out all necessary further investigative actions regarding the mentioned suspect.
