(Patria) - After questioning the suspect, the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will submit a proposal for detention for the suspect Lučić Miloš (1986), minister of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees.
The suspect is under investigation for corrupt criminal offenses of abuse of office or authority related to multiple criminal offenses.
Detention is proposed for reasons described in Article 132, paragraph 1, points b) and c), namely due to the existence of a danger that, if at liberty, the suspect could obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence, and influence witnesses or accomplices, as well as repeat the criminal offense or complete the one already initiated.
Detention is necessary because, if at liberty and present at the workplace, the suspect would be in daily contact with persons who are witnesses, accomplices, or connected to the events covered by the case, including persons to whom he is a superior manager, and would have access to documentation and evidentiary materials, which could jeopardize the investigation process and investigative actions that need to be undertaken.
A detailed explanation of the proposal for detention will be submitted to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the legal deadline.
