Detention requested for Anis Kalajdžić: HNK Prosecutor's Office reveals details of brutal murder of Aldina Jahić in Mostar

(Patria) - The HNK Prosecutor's Office today filed a motion with the Cantonal Court in Mostar to order detention for the suspect Anis K. (1992), from Mostar, due to the existence of grounded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of "Aggravated Murder of a Female Person" under Article 166 a) paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, in conjunction with the criminal offense of "Unauthorized Acquisition, Possession, or Sale of Weapons or Parts of Weapons" prescribed by Article 65 paragraph 1 a) in conjunction with Article 6 of the Law on Weapons and Ammunition of HNK.

The suspect Anis K. is accused of having, on November 16, 2025, around 6:00 PM, at the bus station in Mostar, Trg Ivana Krndelja bb, after illegally acquiring a pistol which he possessed without authorization, waited for the victim A.J., who was training at a fitness center, in front of the fitness center. He approached her and repeatedly struck her in the head and chest, to which she defended herself by holding her hands in front of her, at which point he took out a pistol.

Horror in Mostar: Man murders woman with firearm

(Patria) - A woman was murdered tonight in Mostar, confirmed for Vijesti.ba by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.Police officers are present at the scene.Unofficially, a man shot a woman

Fearing for her life, the victim ran towards the "T.." hotel, Trg Ivana Krndelja bb in Mostar, fearing for her safety, and told passing citizens in fear to call the police because the man was following her and threatening her with a pistol, after which she entered the "B.." restaurant and called the police on her mobile phone.

Meanwhile, the suspect arrived and found the victim in the restroom while she was trying to call for help again, so the suspect approached her and shot her in the head with the pistol, inflicting fatal injuries from which the victim died at the scene.

Detention for the suspect Anis K. has been requested because particular circumstances justify the fear that he will repeat the criminal offense, for which a prison sentence of three years or more can be imposed, and due to the existence of extraordinary circumstances, given that this is a particularly serious criminal offense, considering the manner of commission and the consequence of the criminal offense, so that releasing the suspect would result in a threat to public order, as there has been an increase in the commission of the most serious criminal offenses – murders of women – recently.

Anis Kalajdžić handed over to the jurisdiction of the HNK Prosecutor's Office

The HNK Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with the HNK Ministry of Internal Affairs - Criminal Police Sector, continues to undertake investigative actions in this case in order to establish all the facts and circumstances under which this criminal offense was committed.

Additionally, this Prosecutor's Office previously filed an indictment against Anis K. (1992) from Mostar, for the prolonged criminal offense of "Endangering Security" under Article 183 paragraph 1 and paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, all in conjunction with Article 55 of the same Law, which was fully confirmed on May 15, 2025, by the Municipal Court in Mostar, and a hearing has been scheduled for the accused to enter a plea.
