Detention and prohibition measures sought for three arrested in Kolt operation

The BiH Prosecutor's Office will submit a proposal to the BiH Court for the detention and prohibition measures for the suspects deprived of liberty in the operation codenamed "Kolt" Milan Radovanović, born 08/18/1979 in Travnik, Siniša Straživuk, born 06/18/1968 in Banja Luka, and Josip Skoko, born 03/22/1986 in Požega, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The aforementioned suspects have been ordered into detention for legal reasons prescribed by Article 132, Paragraph 1, Points a), b), and c) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH, namely due to the risk of flight, due to a well-founded fear that the suspects, if at liberty, in an attempt to obstruct and prevent criminal proceedings against them, would destroy or conceal evidence and traces important for the criminal proceedings, and influence witnesses and accomplices, and that they could commit a new criminal offense or complete an ongoing one if at liberty.

After questioning all suspects, the acting prosecutor will submit a proposal for prohibition measures for the remaining suspects, which, among other things, include a ban on leaving their place of residence, as well as a ban on meeting with suspects in the case.

The suspects are under investigation by the BiH Prosecutor's Office for organized crime, in connection with the criminal offenses of tax evasion, abuse of authority in the economy, and misleading consumers, in order to obtain illegal property benefits for members of the organized criminal group and cause damage to the BiH budget in large amounts.
