One-Month Detention Sought for Senad Basarić, Suspected of Killing His Wife in Dobrinja

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The acting prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton has proposed to the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo to order a one-month detention for the suspect Senad Basarić, confirmed the spokesperson of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton, Azra Bavčić, for the media.  

"Detention was proposed due to the risk of the suspect fleeing and due to the risk that the suspect's presence at large could cause public disturbance," stated Bavčić. 

We recall, Basarić was arrested on Thursday morning when he came to the building where the deceased I.F. lived, whose body was found on Wednesday afternoon in the apartment where she lived in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Dobrinja. 

Basarić is suspected of inflicting injuries on I.F. with a blunt object two days earlier, and of deceiving family members by sending messages from her mobile phone, leading them to believe she was alive. After the family was unable to contact her, the police were alerted and found the woman's body.
