Troika MPs: Between the path to the EU and the continuation of the blockade stands the signature of Borjana Krišto

(Patria) - MPs from the Troika parties (SDP, NiP, and NS) are ready to sign the request for an urgent session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH the moment the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers Borjana Krišto signs the unblocking of Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path.

The Troika reminds that the decision to unblock BiH's European path is in the hands of the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and that she can sign it at any moment without anyone's consent.
 
"Namely, by signing the appointment of a pro-European oriented Minister of Security, the tools that SNSD ministers currently have, which are blocking all progressive decisions of the Council of Ministers, including the most important ones that open negotiations for Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession to the European Union, completely disappear.
 
The fate of the country and its people currently depends solely on one signature. That signature can be put on paper literally at any moment, and no one can prevent it. Therefore, between the opening of BiH's negotiations with the EU and the continuation of the blockade, there is only one signature from Chairperson Borjana Krišto.
 
We believe that the interests of the people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the business and academic communities, students, farmers, civil society, workers, and all other categories of society are more important than any individual or political agreement. Therefore, we do not understand that the destructive interest of SNSD, which Chairperson Krišto can neutralize with one signature, is opposed to the interests of millions of people. This is unacceptable and incomprehensible.
 
The House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament has repeatedly demonstrated the existence of a pro-European parliamentary majority that would without any problems confirm the signed decision of Chairperson Borjana Krišto on unblocking the Council of Ministers and the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We emphasize that no one can stop the signing of such a decision except Borjana Krišto herself, thereby taking on enormous responsibility for stopping the opening of accession negotiations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union," stated the Troika.
