MP requests report on ambulance intervention after Dženan Memić's murder

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At today's session of the KS Assembly, People and Justice party MP Arijana Memić requested that the Public Institution Emergency Medical Service Institute provide her with a report on the intervention of teams from February 8, 2016, in Velika aleja on Ilidža, when assistance was provided to injured patients Dženan Memić and Alisa Mutap. Dženan Memić sustained injuries under circumstances still undetermined at the time, and died on February 15, 2016, at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS) due to the severity of his head injury.

MP Memić requested a full report that should include information on when the call for help was received, who made it, who received it, and at what time. 

- How many teams were dispatched to the scene, the names and surnames of the team members, when they departed, from which posts, and when they arrived at the scene. To whom among the injured was assistance first provided – Memić asked.

She also requested information on the severity of the injuries of the injured persons and what steps were taken by the medical personnel.

- At what time did the vehicles depart for KCUS, how long did the transport take, did the vehicles stop, for what reason and how many times at which locations. Was there any contact between the patients and members of the medical team with third parties during transport – Memić asked.

She explained that information had appeared in the public domain regarding certain omissions by members of the medical teams who provided medical assistance to the injured, therefore she is asking whether the team members performed their duties as dictated by their profession and procedures.
