Gates' Frightening 'Announcement': AI Will Replace Some of the Most Important Professions by 2035

(Patria) - American billionaire Bill Gates has announced that the world is entering an era of "free intelligence," in which artificial intelligence (AI) will replace many human professions – from doctors and teachers to construction workers and drivers.

According to Bill Gates' vision, by 2035, AI will radically change everyday life around the world. In an interview reported by B92, the Microsoft co-founder claims that services such as medical advice and private tutoring will soon become free and accessible to everyone – especially in poorer regions like India and Africa.

AI, as he predicts, will not remain limited to "white-collar" jobs, but will expand into industries such as agriculture, logistics and construction, thereby changing the fundamental ways society functions.

"As AI takes over more and more tasks, we could witness the end of traditional working hours, earlier retirements and more free time for people," Gates said. He added that this transformation could lead to a new era of abundance, but also challenges such as job loss and greater economic inequality.

In response to possible consequences, Gates proposes the introduction of a universal basic income and a fairer distribution of resources. He believes societies must redefine the concepts of work, productivity and purpose in life.

However, he does not believe that AI will completely push humans out. Jobs that rely on empathy, creativity and human connection – such as art, psychotherapy and caregiving – will remain in human hands.

Finally, he called on developers and innovators to develop AI for the benefit of humanity, with strict regulation and global cooperation, to prevent threats such as disinformation, bias and the concentration of power in the hands of a few.
