Threats also made against Sweden: We will attack the government and parliament on Tuesday!

Sweden's security service Säpo has confirmed that they are investigating threats sent via email to the Swedish parliament, government and other institutions, reports the Patria news agency.

The threatening emails arrived on Monday afternoon, and in addition to the government and parliament and their offices, some members of parliament also received them.

The news was revealed by Hanif Bali, a member of parliament from the centre-right party, who posted on Twitter that MPs had been informed of the threats earlier. 

- Stockholm police are investigating the received threat, which states that the parliament will be attacked on Tuesday - Säpo spokesperson Sirpa Franzén confirmed to local.se. 

The press service of the Swedish parliament did not want to reveal the exact text of the threat nor whether it was directed against a specific MP.
