SDP BiH Conclusions Obligate FBiH Government to Limit Margins on Oil, Food, and Hygiene Products

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After a long discussion on the epidemiological situation, the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament adopted a series of conclusions and measures. 

Overview of the conclusions proposed at today's session:

SDP's motion for a conclusion to limit the margin on oil derivatives, to 0.6 KM for those selling oil derivatives to agriculture, and to limit the margin to 0.30 KM for traders selling derivatives to others.

This conclusion received the necessary majority. 

With the second conclusion proposed by SDP, the House of Representatives tasks the Government to urgently implement direct control of prices and margins on food and hygiene products. This proposal also received support.

With the third SDP conclusion, the House of Representatives tasks the FBiH Government to intervene from commodity reserves due to the increase in prices of foodstuffs. This conclusion did not receive a majority. 

In the fourth SDP conclusion, the House of Representatives tasks the FBiH Government to draft and submit a new "Corona Law" for procedure. This conclusion also did not receive support.

SDP's fifth proposal, which received support, suggested that the Government, the Crisis Staff, and the Ministry of Health limit the prices of tests for diagnosing coronavirus infection.

The SDP conclusion that the FBiH Government establish a system for registering those interested in vaccination against COVID-19 within three days also received support. 

The SDP conclusion that the FBiH Government report to the House of Representatives weekly on the implementation of activities was also supported. 

The DF Club proposed a conclusion obligating the FBiH Government and the Public Health Institute to prioritize transplant and dialysis patients for vaccination, given that there are only a few hundred of them. The conclusion received a majority. 

The second DF conclusion tasks the FBiH Government to include one member of the Health Committee of the FBiH House of Representatives in an ad hoc body. The conclusion was not supported.

The third DF conclusion obligates the government to urgently distribute at least 50 percent of funds to healthcare institutions, with the specification that they can use them for the procurement of medicines or protective equipment. The conclusion received the necessary majority. 

The Club of Independent Social Democratic Representatives submitted a conclusion tasking the FBiH Government to secure funds from current reserves for institutions fighting the coronavirus. The conclusion received a majority. 

The conclusion by representative Amela Kuskunović, ensuring medication for dialysis patients, also passed.
