SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After the debate concluded, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of FBiH Mirsad Zaimović granted a recess until 3 PM for the FBiH Government to comment on the amendments.
Debate:
Senaid Begić (SDP) raised concerns about quarantine accommodations during the discussion, particularly in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
“The question is whether 80 to 100 KM should have been allocated for quarantine accommodations. These are mostly private facilities, even though the Mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, offered free facilities such as hotels that are not operating, cultural centers, and similar,” Begić added.
He also stated that hotels whose owners are close to SDA were chosen.
“The owners of hotels and motels are mostly close to SDA, or were council members or on SDA lists. The question is whether such accommodations are even necessary, when we know that there are no such quarantines in Germany and that citizens are sent into self-isolation at home,” Begić added.
Miralem Galijašević replied, stating that Begić’s discussion is not the right way or time, and he expects the FBiH Government to respond to Begić’s claims.
Begić responded to Galijašević, saying he does not want criticism to be perceived as politicking.
“I do not want everything the opposition says to be perceived as politicking. I am expressing the public’s stance and I am guided by what Prime Minister Fadil Novalić said, that 3 million KM was allocated for quarantine accommodations,” said Begić.
He reiterated that the accommodation owners are very close to SDA.
