Polluted water supply in Ošve and fired shots: MUP ZDK is searching for Adem Karamuj who is on trial for terrorism

Panic has gripped the villages of Ošve and Maglaj for days due to an incident involving the water supply that occurred on the night of August 7, when firearms were also used, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

The MUP ZDK initially concealed information about the use of firearms, but after media pressure, the sequence of events was published on their official website. As explained by MUP ZDK, on the night of August 7, Adem Karamuj and Jasmin Batanović polluted the local water supply by pouring fuel and fired two shots after an argument with locals who wanted to disconnect them from the water supply due to unpaid obligations to the local community. They fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction and have been sought since then.

An operational search has been issued for the person who fired the firearm, Adem Karamuj, and searches have been carried out at several locations in the Maglaj and Zenica areas. The vehicle used to flee with Jasmin Batanović after the incident in Ošve was found in the Maglaj area.

Batanović was located and arrested, and criminal processing was carried out on him, after which he was reported to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton for the committed criminal offense of "Endangering Security" under Article 183 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, the criminal offense of "Causing General Danger" under Article 323 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, and the criminal offense of "Polluting Drinking Water and Foodstuffs" under Article 236 of the Criminal Code of FBiH.

Members of MUP ZDK continue their activities, including operational checks, searches, and other actions, to document the committed criminal offenses and locate the wanted person.

Karamuj is on trial for terrorism

Incidentally, Karamuj was arrested in a large SIPA operation called Damascus in early September 2014, along with Husein Bilal Bosnić and 14 other individuals linked to supporting terrorist activities or financing such activities, and recruiting individuals to go to certain battlefields.

At that time, five of the arrested individuals, including Adem Karamuj, were ordered into one month of detention. He is on trial before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the criminal offense of organizing a terrorist group with the aim of joining the Islamic State (IS) organization in Syria and Iraq, along with seven other individuals.
