
(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH held its 4th extraordinary, telephone session today, at the proposal of the Ministry of Security of BiH, adopted the Decision on prescribing additional conditions for the entry of foreigners into Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Decision prescribes additional conditions for the entry of foreigners into Bosnia and Herzegovina, which relate to the ban on entry for foreigners coming from certain areas with intense transmission of the coronavirus, in order to prevent the spread and suppression of infectious diseases, i.e. the coronavirus – COVID-19, as well as the possession of a certain type of travel document.
Entry is prohibited for foreign nationals entering Bosnia and Herzegovina from areas with intense coronavirus transmission, especially from: provinces of the People's Republic of China (Wuhan), South Korea, Japan, Italy, Iran, France, Romania, Federal Republic of Germany, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, and Belgium.
A foreigner may enter Bosnia and Herzegovina exclusively with a valid passport, and the Border Police of BiH shall issue a decision refusing entry to a foreign national who is prohibited from entering the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the foreigner's request, in accordance with the Law on Foreigners.
The Council of Ministers of BiH has tasked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH to inform diplomatic-consular missions about the implementation of this Decision. The Decision enters into force on the day it is adopted and is published in the "Official Gazette of BiH".(end)
