90 MILLION FOR THE ECONOMY, FBiH GOVERNMENT SEES LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!

(Patria) - The world today marks the Day of Poverty, which is constantly increasing.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, even before the pandemic, held a high place on the list of countries with pronounced poverty. Every sixth inhabitant of our country is hungry.

The fact that the average worker's salary barely covers 50 percent of a four-member family's needs is enough to say that we entered the coronavirus pandemic as a poor country.

And the apocalyptic virus, which we cannot seem to stop, has further devastated the already poor budgets of BiH residents.

And while many are busy with empty talk these days, few institutions are doing concrete things to improve the lives of BiH citizens.

Burdened by its technical mandate, the Government of the Federation managed to neutralize the initial consequential blows of the coronavirus epidemic to a certain extent through legal regulation.

A new wave of the epidemic is announced. Measures are being tightened, and if the events in Europe and around us are any indication, new problems are arising not only for the health sector but also for the economic sector in BiH.

The Government of the Federation of BiH, led by Fadil Novalić, decided to act preventively this time. For this reason, at yesterday's session, it was decided to assist endangered economic sectors.

A total of 90 million KM has been allocated for aid to the economy through the Decree. Thus, 30,000,000 KM will go to aid the tourism and hospitality sector, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications will receive 20,000,000 KM for aid to this sector,

the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry will receive 10,000,000 KM for aid to agriculture and the food industry, and the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry will receive 30,000,000 KM for aid to export companies.

The Decree will directly preserve jobs, which everyone in the Federation of BiH, except for state administration, has been fearing for months.

This is because the FBiH Government stipulated in the Decree that no beneficiary may lay off workers until December 31st of this year.

A maximum limit of 700,000 KM has also been set, which can be given to beneficiaries from the industry, tourism and hospitality, agriculture and food industry, and passenger road transport sectors.

The funds are intended exclusively for the payment of gross wages and operating costs for the period from July 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020, including the payment of fees for the implementation of expert supervision of airport operators and the approval of projects by the regulator.

The mentioned Decree will not boost the BiH economy, nor will we become Germany tomorrow, but it will significantly mitigate the consequences of the economic shock.

On the other hand, the FBiH Government showed yesterday that within the Bosnian-Herzegovinian political chaos, there are those who want and know how to work for the benefit of citizens and entrepreneurs.

What is particularly important to emphasize is that neither political parties nor their leaders can boast about this, because they are the main culprits why we do not have an elected FBiH Government, but the current one has been working in a truncated composition for two years after the elections were held.

It is evident that with a little will and a lot of knowledge, one can work for the benefit of citizens.

It would be excellent if this move by the FBiH Government were followed by other political institutions, especially legislative ones, which spend most of their time in bickering and arguments, while regularly receiving enormous salaries.

Light at the end of the tunnel has appeared.

Let the FBiH Government be a guide.

We will all be better off.
