4.1 Billion KM Collected in Eight Months, 722 Million KM Returned to Economy

Indirect tax revenues for the first eight months of 2015 amounted to 4 billion and 144 million KM, an increase of 135 million KM or 3.36% compared to the same period in 2014 when they amounted to 4 billion and 9 million KM.  

In the first eight months of 2015, the Indirect Taxation Authority returned 722 million KM in VAT refunds to the economy, which is 14 million KM less compared to the same period last year.

Net collected revenues distributed to beneficiaries—the state, entities, and Brčko District—for the first eight months of 2015 amounted to 3 billion and 421 million KM, an increase of 149 million KM compared to the revenues beneficiaries received from the Single Account in the first eight months of 2014.

REVENUE DISTRIBUTION FOR THE FIRST EIGHT MONTHS OF 2015

For financing state institutions in the first eight months of 2015, an amount of 496 million KM was allocated.

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 43.5 million KM, the Republika Srpska 28.8 million KM, and Brčko District 1.5 million KM based on the special toll for highway construction.

Also, in July 2015, the Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted a Decision on the temporary distribution of toll revenues for highways, which remained in the sub-account of the Single Account.

By this Decision (No.: UO 2907/5/15, dated 29.07.2015), funds amounting to 10% of total realized toll revenues for highways, in the amount of 22,207,168.30 KM, which remained in the sub-account of the Single Account in accordance with Article 2, paragraph 1 of the Decision on the temporary distribution of toll revenues for highways ("Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina", No. 102/09), are temporarily allocated.

In accordance with Article 2 of the said Decision, on 05.08.2015, the Administration distributed the funds to the beneficiaries as follows:

- The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was allocated a total amount of 13,102,229.30 KM (59.00%),
- The Republika Srpska was allocated a total amount of 8,660,795.64 KM (39.00%),
- Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina was allocated a total amount of 444,143.36 KM (2.00%).
