Small Business Program Presented for Novo Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Businessmen from the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo were presented with the Small Business Development Program for 2021, which envisages the allocation of 8.49 million KM in incentive funds provided by the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton.  

In his welcoming remarks, the Mayor of Novo Sarajevo Municipality, Dr. Hasan Tanović, emphasized that this is the first time such a gathering with businessmen has been organized in this local community, and that there is great interest in development and support programs for the economy.  

Within the framework of economic support, 11 programs are foreseen, and the implementation of these measures aims to stabilize the economic situation of the economy, develop small businesses, and create new jobs, said the Minister of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, Adnan Delić.

After the presentation, Minister Delić answered numerous questions from businessmen who were interested in the application process. The possibilities of introducing digitalization and automation systems were also discussed, in order to facilitate the application process for these public funds for businessmen in the coming years.

The programs were presented in detail to businessmen so that they could apply for Public Calls and be eligible for incentives. The planned individual programs for 2021 are: lending to small business entities under more favorable conditions, subsidizing/refunding interest on loans taken from commercial banks, incentives for technological modernization, application of quality standards and business digitalization, incentives for new investments in technological modernization and application of quality standards to improve competitiveness and/or create new jobs. Also, incentives are foreseen for craft promotion projects, incentives for training young people for craft/trade professions and employment, incentives for the development of IT entrepreneurship, incentives for the improvement of entrepreneurship in the area of providing administrative services with a dominant export orientation, incentives for newly established – start-up small business entities, incentives for the development of women's entrepreneurship, and incentives for the development of youth entrepreneurship.
