Over a Hundred Attacks on Bosniak Returnees in One Year

During 1998, Bosniak returnees and their property were attacked more than 100 times, and some returnees were even killed!
This is only part of the data on attacks against Bosniak returnees, compiled by a foreign organization, primarily citing data from IPTF and UNPROFOR, writes the BiH news agency Patria. Some attacks on returnees, especially the smaller ones, were not recorded.

However, what is more concerning than the numbers is that many of the attackers have not been prosecuted to this day, 17 years later, warn numerous domestic and foreign organizations dealing with returns in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The number of attacks on Bosniak returnees has significantly decreased today, although incidents still occur, especially targeting property and religious buildings.
