Contractors for the section from Technical School to Braće Begić Street to be known in 45 days

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The realization of previously agreed activities, and in accordance with the adopted conclusions, was discussed at today's meeting of the Operational Team for monitoring the implementation of the First Transversal project. It was stated that the Public Call for the First Transversal section from the Technical School to Braće Begić Street was published on Friday, and it was announced that demolition will begin within ten days, if there are no appeals, while the contractors for the construction of the mentioned section of the First Transversal will be known in 45 days.

The Director of the Institute for the Construction of Sarajevo Canton, Mirza Hulusić, reported that he will submit one plot to the Government for processing, which has the opinion of the Legal Affairs Office, and which ultimately opens up the possibility of building a roundabout at the junction of Alipašina Street and the First Transversal.

It is also planned that within the next ten days, this Institute will send two more plots to the Government and Assembly of Sarajevo Canton for processing, for the part of the route from Kranjčevića Street to Braće Begić Street. Tomorrow, the Institute will publish a Public Call in daily newspapers for the consensual resolution of property-legal issues along the continuation of the route from Braće Begić Street to the City Highway tunnel. Discussions with BH-Gas will also continue, as there are problems with the main gas pipeline along the First Transversal route.

The Directorate for Roads of Sarajevo Canton and the Institute for the Construction of Sarajevo Canton will submit an amended request to the Municipality of Vogošća for the issuance of urban planning and construction permits, in order to ensure the construction of the tunnel. The Municipalities of Novo Sarajevo and Centar are undertaking all activities to resolve issues of expropriation and parcel subdivision.
