Witkoff: Trump and Putin to talk this week

(Patria) - Steve Witkoff, the US President's special envoy, says Donald Trump is expected to speak with Vladimir Putin by phone this week.

Speaking on CNN's "State of the Union" program, Witkoff said Trump is "involved in every aspect and dimension of the conversation".

Witkoff, who met with Putin on Thursday, said the conversation was "positive".

He added that the US is "talking" with both European countries and Russia about the four regions of Ukraine that Russia claims.
