Wilz: NATO is monitoring the security situation, we will not allow any threat to peace in BiH

The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Mektić, met today in Sarajevo with the Commander of the NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, Brigadier General Giselle Wilz, with whom he discussed the security situation and future cooperation between the Ministry and the NATO Headquarters. Minister Mektić expressed concern about the escalating security situation due to warmongering messages coming from individuals, emphasizing that it is particularly worrying that certain political structures are behind these individuals, reports Patria News Agency.

- These individuals and such rhetoric must be stopped and sanctioned immediately because it instills fear and insecurity among citizens. It also sends a negative message to foreign investors - said Mektić, expressing dissatisfaction with the passivity of the BiH Prosecutor's Office in immediately investigating and sanctioning such incitement.

Brigadier General Wilz stated that NATO is monitoring the security situation in BiH and that this organization will not allow any threat to peace in BiH. She expressed full confidence in the state-level security agencies as well as the Armed Forces of BiH, announcing further strengthening of cooperation and integrity of these institutions.
