
WARM Festival 2015 will be held from June 28 to July 4 in Sarajevo, writes the BH News Agency Patria.
The festival will bring together reporters who have reported from war zones, as well as artists, researchers, and activists who deal with contemporary conflicts in their daily lives.
This year, the festival will feature the world premiere of the film “The Last Patrol” by Sebastian Junger, which tells the story of two war veterans traveling across America and two long-time war reporters.
His two films about American soldiers who fought in the war in Afghanistan, “Restrepo” and “Korengal”, as well as “Which way is the front line from here?” will also be screened. Sebastian Junger will also present his book titled “War”.
The festival will also include numerous other film premieres, as well as exhibitions, book presentations, and other activities related to contemporary conflicts.
The central venue for all film screenings, press conferences, interviews, and discussions will be the Meeting Point cinema in Sarajevo. Exhibitions will be held at the Academy of Fine Arts Sarajevo, in the Java gallery, and the Duplex gallery.
WARM is an international foundation that deals with contemporary world conflicts. It focuses on war reporting, war art, and war memories. It brings together journalists, artists, historians, researchers, and activists with the common goal of telling the story with excellence and integrity. It is dedicated to promoting and educating young talents.
WARM Festival is a significant step in the creation of the WARM Centre for Contemporary Conflicts in Sarajevo.
