Wang Yi: China and the EU can prevent a new Cold War

(Patria) - China and the European Union have the ability to prevent a new Cold War if they work together, said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

"If China and Europe work together, there will be no opposing blocs, no divisions in the world, no new Cold War," Wang Yi said at a joint press conference with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna, reported by TASS agency.

According to the senior Chinese diplomat, China and the European Union "must advocate for openness and development."

He emphasized that China's cooperation with the EU is mutually beneficial.

He called for minimizing risks by reducing the negative impacts of uncertainty factors arising from the politicization of economic and business relations.
