Vulin and Dačić: The Serbian duo for attacks on BiH and lies about Bosniaks

While singing to the Turkish president, it is pleasant to listen to the President of the Serbian Assembly, Ivica Dačić. The problem arises when he speaks, usually then he refutes the folk saying that one who sings does not think evil. Dačić, like the rest of the representatives of the current government in Serbia, usually shows his true face in his attitude towards BiH, especially towards Bosniaks.

Instead of celebrating Christmas and behaving in the spirit of the great holiday, which is an occasion for expressing generosity, love, friendship, and reconciliation, Dačić decided to spread hatred with falsehoods. This time, he surpassed himself with the claim that “Serbs did not demolish the towers in New York, but that it was done by American favorites, the mujahideen from BiH, whom they have been helping all these years“.

When a high-ranking political official of Serbia lies and spreads hatred, it is not surprising that police officers in that country celebrate genocide through song and announce new ones. Dačić is one of those politicians whose silence has shown that he does not mind fascism in his own country.

The scandalous behavior of police officers in Priboj has not been publicly condemned by the Minister of Police, Aleksandar Vulin. To him, it has the ring of freedom songs, because Serbian politics in the Balkans feeds the narrative of “conquering freedom“, from which one can mistakenly conclude that the crimes committed on that path are justified. 

Therefore, the Chetnik choreography present these days, mostly in settlements where Bosniaks have returned, is not surprising. While the Chetniks continue to tarnish the image of the majority of honorable and honest Serbs by firing weapons to intimidate believers in Janja near Bijeljina, the Serbian government is trying to deceive the whole world that Bosniaks are the problem. In doing so, they misuse the claims of politicians from Sarajevo that conflicts could arise if the international community does not stop Milorad Dodik's secessionist policy.

The logic of politicians from Serbia and the leadership of the RS is that Bosniaks should peacefully allow their territory, from which most were expelled through ethnic cleansing, to be finally and completely taken away. Incapable of being a soldier, like most cowards, Vulin feeds his ego with big words, not caring that it could have consequences for ordinary people who are still unwilling to resist evil policies that live on their suffering and the blood of their loved ones. Thus, although Serbia denies its participation in the aggression against BiH, Vulin states that the RS was created by Serbs, not only those from the RS but all Serbs who feel it as their own. He further supports this with the statement: “We have always said that we are one, it was just that there were times when we did not know how to say that it is visible that we are one“.

Serbian policy does not support the US sanctions imposed on Milorad Dodik, trying to make a victim out of him, although it is clear to everyone that he is a man who builds his political survival on corruption, inciting fear, and spreading hatred among peoples. In the hope that people are forgetful, the fact that Dodik was recently a favorite of the American administration, which brought him to power in the RS, is persistently hushed up. Equality, to which Dodik and Serbian politics persistently refer, does not exist there today. With their policies, they persistently build a “Chetnikdom“ without realizing that fascism has never brought good to anyone. However, Vulin's and Dačić's Serbia is not the one that all Serbs love.
