Vučić spoke with Putin: Russia supports RS and Dayton, meeting in Moscow on May 9th

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that he had a very good conversation with Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin about all important issues of bilateral cooperation, including reaching a gas arrangement before May 31st and the issue of US sanctions against NIS, and confirmed the upcoming meeting in Moscow on May 9th.

President Aleksandar Vučić said they also discussed all important political issues, the attempt at a color revolution in Serbia, the situation in the region, and everything happening in Republika Srpska.

"I have just finished a conversation with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. We had a good, substantive, and I would dare to say, excellent conversation about all important bilateral issues of our cooperation. We talked about political cooperation and the necessity for intergovernmental commissions to continue working on the recovery of our trade exchange and further improvement of economic cooperation," Vučić said in a video statement published on Instagram after the phone call with Putin.

The Serbian President conveyed that they also discussed matters of exceptional importance to Serbia, such as cooperation with Russian railways, but primarily how and in what way to conclude a gas arrangement before May 31st and how to resolve the NIS issue, considering the US sanctions imposed against that company.

Vučić stated that he also discussed all important political issues with Putin, and one of the key issues was the situation in the region.

"I conveyed to him the message of the President of Republika Srpska, and President Putin, I must say, understands the situation in the region well. He sees the attempts and moves of the High Representative in BiH and understands them with only one goal: to overthrow Milorad Dodik. The Russian Federation has always provided support to both the Dayton Peace Agreement and, of course, Republika Srpska," said Vučić.

Moscow will mark the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism on May 9th.
