HJPC on financial transactions from their IP addresses: We will cooperate with investigative authorities

Regarding the information published on the Capital.ba portal, which was also carried by other media outlets in Bosnia and Herzegovina, concerning the transfer of financial transactions from two IP addresses of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH), the HJPC BiH wishes to inform the public of the following facts:

- The HJPC BiH has, in accordance with its legal competencies, established and maintains a unified judicial information system for all courts and prosecutor's offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The information system, in addition to software solutions for case management in courts and prosecutor's offices, also includes internet access services for over 5,000 users in courts and prosecutor's offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina, excluding the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the judicial institutions of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which have separate internet access, reports the Patria agency.

It is a fact that the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council is the owner of the mentioned IP addresses. What we would emphasize is that through these IP addresses, approximately 5,000 users in judicial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina have internet access. Thus, 5,000 users from all courts and prosecutor's offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina (excluding those mentioned above) could, in the indicated period of 2012, access the internet via these addresses.

To date, no competent investigative authority has approached the HJPC BiH with a request to establish facts related to the mentioned use of equipment for conducting the stated financial transactions.

Of course, at the request of the competent investigative authorities, the HJPC BiH is ready to provide all necessary and available data on the facts related to the mentioned use of information equipment.
