Heat and traffic jams complicate travel through BiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Due to extremely hot and humid weather, we ask drivers to start their journeys in the early morning or late evening hours. If you are traveling during the hottest part of the day, take frequent breaks. Be as careful as possible and respect traffic regulations.

Due to construction work on the bridge on the A-1 highway section Sarajevo North-Podlugovi, traffic is two-way, in the opposite lane from the construction zone.

In the Crnaja tunnel (Konjic-Jablanica), traffic alternates in one lane during the day, and traffic is completely suspended at night (from 11 PM to 4:30 AM).

On the Tuzla-Kalesija road, due to construction work in the Čaklovići tunnel, traffic is suspended from 10 PM to 6 AM and diverted to an alternative route via Dubrave. During the day, passenger vehicles from the direction of Tuzla travel through the tunnel, and from the direction of Kalesija via the bypass around the tunnel. Heavy goods vehicles are also directed to the route via Dubrave during the day.

Due to numerous landslides and the risk of mudslides on the main road Brod na Drini-GP Hum/Šćepan Polje, passenger vehicles are experiencing difficult travel, while traffic is suspended for heavy goods vehicles.

Traffic is slow due to construction on the following road sections: Doboj-Rudanka, Stolac-Hutovo (Cerovica location), Posušje-Tomislavgrad (Čitluk settlement)  and Banovići-Živinice.

At border crossings, waiting times are no longer than 30 minutes.
