Top-notch equipment donated by China will facilitate the work of border police and customs authorities

Deputy Minister of Security of BiH Mijo Krešić received the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to BiH Chen Bo today, with whom he discussed the security situation and the improvement of cooperation between the two countries.

It was emphasized that the relations between the two countries are extremely good, and that cooperation is intensively developing in all directions. Deputy Krešić positively assessed China's investments in BiH, especially thanking for the assistance to the security sector, namely the donation of mobile scanners for cargo control at border crossings, the realization of which is underway, reports the Patria News Agency.

He emphasized that this top-notch equipment will facilitate the work of border police and customs authorities, but also increase their efficiency in detecting smuggled goods and narcotics.

Deputy Krešić and Ambassador Bo also exchanged information on the current security situation and the fight against terrorism and organized crime.

The ambassador thanked the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH for the measures they are taking to ensure the security of the Chinese embassy building in Sarajevo.
