Supreme Court of FBiH: Elvira Mujačić sentenced to 12 years for burning her husband to death

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Supreme Court of FBiH, based on the indictment of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton, has passed a guilty and final verdict for Elvira Mujačić (43) from Gračanica for the criminal offense of murder and sentenced her to 12 years in prison, announced the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton.

The indictment accused Mujačić of taking a canister of gasoline in the evening hours of September 17, 2015, in Donja Orahovica near Gračanica, in the yard of her family home, after a brief argument with her husband Damir, pouring it over his body and clothes, setting a napkin on fire and throwing it at her husband, causing the fire to engulf Damir's entire body.

Damir Mujačić died of post-burn shock at the University Clinical Center in Tuzla.
