Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief: Situation in Zaporizhzhia Region Deteriorates

(Patria). Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky said on Tuesday that the situation for his forces had "significantly deteriorated" in parts of the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region amid fierce fighting with Russian forces.

"The situation has significantly deteriorated in the directions of Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole, where the enemy, using its numerical superiority in personnel and materiel, advanced in fierce battles and captured three settlements," Syrsky wrote on Telegram, as reported by Reuters.

In this part of Ukraine, fierce Russian attacks have been ongoing for days, especially in and around the city of Pokrovsk.

While Russia claims to be advancing on the front day by day, Kyiv has stated that Ukrainian forces are holding back Russian attacks and inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.
