Restore dignity to the families of martyrs and fallen soldiers of the Army of RBiH

At today's reception at the Home of the Armed Forces (Dom Armije) in Sarajevo, organized by the Organization of Families of Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers of FBiH, on the occasion of the Day of Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers, a delegation of the Union of Social Democrats, led by Secretary General Emir Zlatar, was also present, the agency Patria reported.

- State institutions and all administrative levels of government must show greater care for the veteran population. Restoring dignity, primarily to the children of martyrs and fallen soldiers, is something that everyone in this country must restore within the institutions and organizations at all levels of government. Empty rhetoric, manipulation, and abuse must stop, and big words should be translated into actions towards the heroes of this country – stated the Union of Social Democrats.

It is further stated that "it is not a cliché that without martyrs and fallen soldiers there would be no Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is why it is necessary and essential to repeat that greater care must be devoted to the families of fallen heroes.".

- Today, the president of the Organization of Families of Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers of FBiH, Mr. Almin Škrijelj, and the vice-president, Bahrija Kitušić, were informed that the Union of Social Democrats, if it gains the trust of the citizens, will ask veteran organizations to nominate ministers for veteran affairs, rather than appointing them in the name and on behalf of political parties. In this way, we will most concretely and transparently help the veteran population. Defenders of Bosnia and Herzegovina and those who destroyed it cannot be equal. Never and nowhere in the world has it been the case, nor can it be in BiH – it was stated.
