The former bobsleigh track on Trebević, built for the 14th Winter Olympics in Sarajevo held in 1984, is becoming an increasingly popular attraction for cyclists visiting Sarajevo, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.
Chris Thompson, who lives in Italy, filmed his ride down this track with a camera and reached speeds of 65 km/h, but first familiarized himself with the 1,300-meter-long track over several laps.
- For the first few laps, I had to use the brake a lot. But by the fifth or sixth lap, I only used it if I entered a curve too fast. I think with a bit of practice, the track can be completed without using the brake and reaching speeds of 80 km/h.
