Driving drunk: Driver who hit a young man on a sidewalk in Sarajevo yesterday arrested

Twenty-one-year-old M. K. from Sarajevo was injured yesterday in a traffic accident that occurred in the afternoon hours on Josip Štadler Street in Sarajevo, near number 16, and it was later established that the driver of the BMW was drunk, reports the Patria news agency.

- The driver E.B. (born 1971) from Sarajevo veered off the roadway onto the right side of the sidewalk, then hit the pedestrian M. K., born in 1994 in Sarajevo. In this traffic accident, the pedestrian sustained serious bodily injuries/fracture of the left foot. Due to suspicion that he committed a serious criminal offense against traffic safety and endangered public traffic while intoxicated, the duty prosecutor was informed of everything, and the driver E.B. was deprived of his liberty because he is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol - said the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton.
