(Patria) - An angry truck driver lost his job after the moment he sped towards climate activists protesting on the main road was captured on camera.
Six demonstrators were standing on the highway in Stralsund, Germany on Wednesday and stopped his truck.
The footage, which quickly circulated on social media, shows the 41-year-old driver getting out of the truck, then forcibly dragging one of the demonstrators onto the road. He also pushed another to the ground and lunged at him with his fist, before returning to the vehicle.
He then sped towards two men with the truck, pushing one of them several meters along the concrete. He almost ran him over before braking.
German truck drivers in Stralsund have absolutely run out of patience with climate protesters. Why aren’t the police taking any action against people who block the roads?

After the dramatic incident, the driver surrendered himself to the police. His driver's license was revoked, and a court will decide whether it will be returned or not.
The driver's employer, industrial gas supplier Air Liquide, told Deutsche Presse-Agentur that such actions are unacceptable and the company management has ordered that this driver no longer be allowed to drive for them.
The police announced that no one was injured during this incident. An investigation has been launched against the driver for assault, and against the demonstrators for violating the assembly law and suspicion of coercion in road traffic, Yahoo News reports.
