Army of RS killed mothers and children: 22nd anniversary of the most horrific crimes in Vlasenica

The Association of Camp Victims of Bosnia and Herzegovina is marking the 22nd anniversary of the closure of the Sušica camp in Vlasenica on September 20, where some of the worst crimes during the recent Serbian aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina were committed, and where around 1,600 Bosniaks were killed, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

From April to the end of September 1992, more than 8,000 Bosniak prisoners passed through this camp in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, of whom 1,600 were liquidated in the most brutal manner. Families are still searching for the remains of many of the murdered.

The Sušica camp was closed between September 26 and 29, 1992, after the last Bosniak of this place was killed or deported. In addition to men, the Army of Republika Srpska also killed a large number of women and children, writes NAP.

Part of the indictment that the international court for various crimes is conducting against criminals Ratko Mladić, Radovan Karadžić, and which was also conducted against the former president of Serbia Slobodan Milošević, relates precisely to the savage killings and torture in this camp.

Through the Sušica camp, in addition to those from Vlasenica, 172 Bosniaks from Kalesija also passed, as well as a significant number of Bosniaks from Šekovići, Zvornik, and other municipalities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Association of Camp Victims of BiH will organize free transport from Sarajevo to Vlasenica next Saturday, on the occasion of the anniversary of the closure of Sušica, and the buses will depart from in front of the National Museum in Sarajevo, writes NAP.
