Council of Ministers of BiH tomorrow on temporary ban on export of firewood and wood products

(Patria) - Only one item will be on the agenda of the extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers of BiH tomorrow, proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH. Minister Staša Košarac, after consultations with competent institutions and authorities in RS and FBiH, proposed that the decision on a temporary ban on the export of certain forest wood assortments, firewood, and wood products be considered.

In recent days, producers have warned that BiH will face problems because it will not have raw materials and firewood for the domestic population, as most of it is exported, and prices have increased by over 100 percent.

The proposal was to limit exports for a certain period in order to stabilize the market.
