Government of Una-Sana Canton: Electronic prescriptions for medicines to be introduced in 2016

A session of the Government of Una-Sana Canton was held today in Bihać. The Financial Plan of the Health Insurance Fund of USC and the Work Program of HIF USC for 2016 were considered with special attention, which was sent to the Canton Assembly for further procedure, reports the Patria News Agency.

Ibrahim Kajtazović, Minister of Health and Social Policy, emphasized that the current management of HIF USC has achieved exceptional cooperation with the relevant Ministry, and together they have built a good coordination system with healthcare institutions, which resulted in the quality preparation of the work program for the next year, with full consideration of the needs of healthcare institutions.

Thus, in accordance with the established plans, more funds would be allocated to healthcare institutions in the coming year, and larger amounts of funds are planned for health services that are needed, such as artificial insemination.

Prime Minister of USC Izudin Saračević emphasized the need for informatization of the healthcare sector, a project that is already underway, in order to enable better control, rational operations, and, most importantly, a higher standard of service for patients. It is planned that HIF USC will introduce e-prescriptions for prescribing medicines next year, it was announced from the Government of USC.
