Government of Tuzla Canton sends letter to EP BiH regarding Block 7

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Government of Tuzla Canton at today's session accepted the text of an open letter that the Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton, Kadrija Hodžić, is sending to JP Elektroprivreda BiH and the director of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant requesting information regarding the activities on the realization of the project for the construction of Block 7 of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant.

The letter states, among other things, that "The Government of TC, as well as the relevant ministries whose activities are related to the production processes of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant, as well as all well-intentioned people of our canton, the Federation of BiH and the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina, are attentively following the information coming from various official and unofficial sources concerning the continuation of the construction of Block 7 at the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant, as well as the complete fate of the production of electrical and thermal energy at the current location of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant."

The Government of TC therefore requests JP Elektroprivreda BiH and the director of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant to provide complete information within a reasonable time, which should include elements about the current status of Block 7 with current issues, the view of relevant institutions on the future operation of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant as a producer of electrical/thermal energy, i.e., technological steam for industrial consumers with an assessment of the security of supply to consumers, possible consequences / in case Block 7 is built, or if the construction is abandoned / with eventual repercussions in both cases, and other relevant matters that may serve the Government of TC and the relevant ministries."
