SBK Government is stifling the economy, no agreement on subsidies

SARAJEVO, (Pateia) - At the 100th session of the SBK Government, the Proposal of the Decision on the distribution of funds from the position "Subsidies to private companies - for the support of entrepreneurship development and launching new start-up companies" and the Proposal of the Decision on the distribution of funds from the position "Current transfers to other levels of government and funds - economic incentives (establishment of a fund for supporting companies in the completion and implementation of internationally recognized standards" were not adopted.

The proposed decisions, by the Ministry of Economy of SBK, planned the distribution of financial resources in the amount of 132,000.00 KM for 78 newly established business entities and the distribution of financial resources in the amount of 35,500.00 KM for 5 business entities intending to implement international standards in quality management (ISO 9001:2015 and preparation of CE marking).

By not adopting these decisions and the Decision on the distribution of funds from the position "Subsidies to private companies - economic incentives" in the amount of 1,110,000.00 KM, the realization of subsidies to the SBK economy has once again been postponed, thus blocking the implementation of adopted programs to support the economy.

The importance of adopting decisions on the distribution of funds to the economy is reflected in the fact that the economy in the Central Bosnia Canton has not yet reached the pre-Covid-19 pandemic employment level, which according to the Tax Administration data on 29.02.2020 was 52,895 employees, and on 27.09.2021 was 52,255 employees, which is 640 employees less compared to the period before the pandemic.
