Government of Norway Allocated 900,000 BAM for Modernization of Milk Production in ZDC

Ambassador of Norway to BiH, Vibeke Lilloe and UN Coordinator, Sezin Sinanoglu visited today the beneficiaries of the renewed agricultural dairy subsector in ZDC and the Health Center in Doboj, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- BiH needed help to recover from the devastating floods of May 2014. We did everything in our power to help - said Ambassador Lilloe.

The Norwegian government, after the major floods, invested nearly 900,000 BAM for the revitalization and modernization of the milk production chain in the ZDC area, and these funds most directly supported the production of the ZIM dairy and 308 farmers who are cooperators of this dairy.

For the needs of the Health Center in Doboj, the Government of Norway donated new medical equipment and 6 ambulances with a total value of about 380,000 BAM.

The Government of Norway, through UN programs for flood recovery in BiH, has so far invested nearly 4.5 million US dollars.
