KS Government wants to cover deficit with a loan of 130 million KM!

The current Government of Sarajevo Canton plans to take out a loan of 130 million marks to cover a huge budget deficit, the BH news agency Patria (NAP) has learned.

Namely, the government of former Prime Minister Suad Zeljković adopted and proposed a budget of 774 million KM to the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, which is 35 million marks more than for 2013. This is surprising, because it is known that the KS Government had a huge budget deficit last year due to falling revenues and had great difficulties functioning.

However, according to the budget proposal that NAP has seen, they plan to cover a huge deficit through long-term and direct borrowing, probably from domestic banks, for 130 million marks. The KS has already borrowed 10 million KM from banks, and part of the funds remained unspent.

However, it remains to be seen whether such a budget will receive support in the Cantonal Assembly after Zeljković resigned, and whether the new appointee will accept it.
