KS GOVERNMENT Adopts Draft Laws on Amendments to Police Law Without Amendments

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Government of Sarajevo Canton today adopted the draft laws amending and supplementing the Law on Police Officers and the Law on Internal Affairs of KS, which will be considered by the delegates of the KS Assembly under an urgent procedure.

According to the proposer of these laws, the Minister of Internal Affairs of KS, Ismir Jusko, after a month, these proposals have reappeared before the members of the KS Government in the same form and without a single amendment.

“We have conducted a detailed analysis and elaboration of the proposed laws, which are extremely important for the more effective and efficient work of police officers in the field, especially since they face security challenges in their daily work. This is particularly evident now during the migrant crisis and the pandemic caused by the coronavirus,” said Minister Jusko.

He also announced that in the coming period, the adoption of new laws is planned, in which all stakeholders who wish will have the opportunity to present their requests and proposals during a public debate. Minister Jusko emphasized that it is in everyone's interest to have quality laws that will help the Police Administration perform its job in the best possible way.
