Government of Sarajevo Canton Declares End to Natural Disaster State from Floods

(Patria) - The decision was made upon the proposal of the Civil Protection Staff of Sarajevo Canton, which assessed that conditions for this have been met, and that further work on remedying the consequences of the floods can be successfully completed by administrative bodies and other authorities, as well as legal entities within their regular activities.

"All heads of cantonal ministries, independent cantonal administrations and cantonal administrative organizations, public institutions and bodies, as well as heads of city and municipal administrative services, and heads of public enterprises and other legal entities are obliged to carry out, within their regular activities, additional tasks related to the elimination of consequences caused by floods as long as there is a need for this," it is specified in the Decision.

The Cantonal Commission is tasked with preparing a consolidated report on the damage assessment, after reports from municipal commissions on recorded damages in local communities are submitted.

The consolidated report will be submitted to the Government no later than 15 days from the date of its preparation, for the purpose of disbursing funds for damage remediation.

With today's Government decision, the Decision on declaring a state of natural disaster from November 8, 2021, has been repealed.
