FBiH Government considers measures to help the economy

(Patria) - The regular session of the Government of the Federation of BiH will be held today starting at 10:00 AM at the seat of the Government of the FBiH in Sarajevo.

The Government of the Federation of BiH should adopt measures that were agreed upon at a meeting with the Employers' Association in FBiH in light of the current situation and the newly emerged crisis caused by the appearance of coronavirus in BiH.

Prime Minister Novalić reiterated that the Government of the FBiH will do everything within its jurisdiction and current capabilities, and that it is already preparing a set of measures aimed at preserving jobs and maintaining the liquidity of the economy.

The President of the Employers' Association in FBiH stated that mitigating the consequences of the appearance of coronavirus on citizens' health is a priority, but that, in addition to the measures authorities are taking in that direction, a set of economic measures must also be adopted, because numerous companies and a large number of jobs are threatened due to the pandemic of the new virus.

The economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Federation is not exempt from the negative consequences caused by the appearance and spread of coronavirus. The goal of the Government of the FBiH is to mitigate such consequences in a timely manner to the greatest extent possible.
