FBiH Government: We will prepare a new Law on Civil Service, the current one causes great damage to the Budget

The Government of the Federation of BiH will comply with the decision of the Constitutional Court of FBiH, which declared the Law on Amendments to the Law on Civil Service unconstitutional. The law will soon be prepared and sent for regular parliamentary procedure. This time, a large number of institutions and experts, non-governmental organizations, and the academic community will be included in the law-making process, it was announced from the FBiH Government, reports Patria.

- Our goal is to adopt a quality law that will reduce the number of civil servants, relieve the Budget, and enable the redirection of this money to development projects and youth employment. The public should know that the current law causes great damage to the Budget of the Federation of BiH, because based on it, tens of thousands of final court judgments worth around one billion KM have been issued, while court proceedings for more than 500 million KM are currently underway, which will further burden the FBiH Budget. Because of this, it is difficult to maintain the fiscal stability of the Federation of BiH, which is a direct consequence of someone's earlier omissions.

In addition, due to this law, the quality of work in the civil service is significantly limited, because it is now impossible to transfer a civil servant from one job to another, even though some institutions have a surplus of workers, while in others, a lack of employees disrupts the work process - it is stated in the announcement of the Government of the Federation of BiH on the occasion of the publication of the Verdict of the Constitutional Court of FBiH.
