FBiH Government Approves 20 Million KM for Continued Construction of Hranjen Tunnel

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH, at today's session in Sarajevo, upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications, adopted the Program of Utilization of Funds "Capital Transfers to Public Enterprises - Transfer for the Construction of the Hranjen Tunnel" in the amount of 20,000,000 KM, determined by this year's FBiH Budget.

The funds are intended for construction and supervision, and will be transferred in tranches to the account of the project implementer, JP Autoceste Federacije BiH, after the latter submits proof of performed works or services to the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications.

A contract will be signed between the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications and the approved project implementer regarding the method of utilization of the approved funds, which will further define mutual rights and obligations. JP Autoceste Federacije BiH is obliged to report quarterly to the Federal Ministry on the project's realization, which will then report to the Federal Ministry of Finance.

The justification states that this project was nominated in the Public Investment Program of the Federation of BiH, which is a prerequisite for the possibility of financing project implementation from the budget in accordance with the Decree of the Government of FBiH on the preparation of the Public Investment Program in FBiH. Also, the proposed project is aligned with the Transport Strategy of the Federation of BiH 2016 - 2030 and the requests of JP Autoceste FBiH for 2023, and it represents the continuation of the project from 2022.

The Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Federal Ministry of Finance, and JP Autoceste Federacije BiH d.o.o. Mostar are responsible for the implementation of this decision, each within their jurisdiction.

7 Million KM for Sarajevo - Tuzla Expressway, XII Transversal in Sarajevo and Tomislavgrad Bypass

The Government of the Federation of BiH today, upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications, adopted three programs for the utilization of funds "Capital Transfers to Public Enterprises", determined in the FBiH Budget for 2023 in the total amount of 7,000,000 KM.

Four and a half million marks are intended for the Sarajevo - Tuzla expressway, for the preparation of the main project and expropriation, on this expressway, subsection Vitalj - Gojakovići.

Two million marks will be allocated for co-financing the construction of the XII transversal, the connection from Stupska petlja to Sarajevo Airport, and 500,000 KM for the reconstruction of a section of the Tomislavgrad bypass.
