FBiH Government on Swiss franc loans: We cannot interfere in the bank-client relationship

After considering today the conclusion of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, which requested the review of the Information on the application of the law in the procedure of approved loans tied to the Swiss franc, the Government of the Federation of BiH stated that it has no legal basis to enter into the relationship between banks and clients, reports the Patria news agency.  

In order to prevent such situations in the future, the FBiH Government will review and, in cooperation with the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of Republika Srpska, attempt to harmonize legal provisions related to banking operations. Also, it is necessary to work on amendments to the Consumer Protection Law, the FBiH Government announced.
