FBiH Government after attempted murder of a teacher in Lukavac: We will work on prevention and education of teaching staff

(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH at today's session considered an oral report by the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs on the horrific event that occurred this morning in a primary school in Lukavac.

On the occasion of the horrific act of attempted murder in the primary school in Lukavac, the Government of the Federation of BiH expresses its regret and wishes teacher Nedim Osmanović a speedy recovery, and after collecting available information through the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, concluded:

- The Government will undertake all necessary measures for the prevention of such and similar events that endanger the safety of children, youth, teaching or other staff in educational institutions.

- The Government, through the relevant ministries, will actively work on planning and undertaking preventive measures, strengthening cooperation between educational institutions, social work centers and the police, activating the role of psychologists, pedagogues and social workers, and will work on educating teaching staff on noticing and recognizing risk factors.

- Regarding the specific act committed by a minor, the Government, through the relevant ministry, will make all capacities available to discover the motives that led to such an act.
