FBiH Government discusses budget for 2017 today

The Government of the Federation of BiH, at a session that began today in Sarajevo, will consider the draft Budget of the Federation of BiH and the Law on its execution. As planned, the budget for next year amounts to 2,747,628,075 KM, which is 132.7 million KM or five percent more compared to this year's budget, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The draft law on amending the Law on Budgets in FBiH has been included on the agenda of today's session, which stipulates that, exceptionally and exclusively for the purpose of ensuring the financing of the City of Mostar in 2017, the Budget of the City of Mostar and the Decision on its execution will be adopted and the Mayor of the City of Mostar will be responsible for its implementation, with the consent of the Head of Finance.

A statement from the government members on the Draft Law on Tourist Tax in FBiH is also planned.

The Federal Government will make a statement on the Proposal for a Decree that establishes instruments for harmonizing the legislation of the Federation of BiH with the legal acquis of the European Union, as well as the obligations of federal administrative bodies and federal administrative organizations, as drafters of regulations, and the Office of the Government of FBiH for Legislation and Harmonization with EU Regulations in this process.

The adoption of decisions on allocating a total of 180,000 KM for financing programs and projects of four national cultural societies has also been proposed.

The agenda includes information on the enrollment of students in primary and secondary schools in the 2016/17 school year in the Federation of BiH, and the Government will be informed about the World Bank documents "Doing Business 2017" and the World Economic Forum "Competitiveness 2016-2017 - Bosnia and Herzegovina".
