FBiH Government adopts largest budget to date, child allowance of 103 KM planned

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The draft budget for this year, the largest in history, amounting to 5,597,618,777 KM, has been sent to the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for adoption, said the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić.

- I am proud that the extensive, yet concrete measures we have taken in crisis and globally difficult times have yielded results - emphasized Novalić.

He stated that the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thanks to the work and commitment of everyone, has proven to be more resilient and better than ever.

- These are the reasons why this budget has room for increased allocations, continuation of initiated projects, but also support for significant reforms - said Novalić.

The draft budget, among other things, includes 50 million for family support and birth rate. For the first time, a child allowance of 103 KM is planned.

For agriculture, 106 million KM, which is the largest amount ever. For market interventions through commodity reserves, to mitigate the effects of price increases, 20 million KM is planned.

The plan is for pensions to be increased twice, regularly and exceptionally, for which 102 million KM has been allocated. Cantons will receive 200 million KM this year, and municipalities and cities in the Federation will receive 36 million KM.

For highways and roads, 229 million KM has been allocated, which is 109 million KM more compared to the previous year. For better conditions in healthcare institutions in 2022, 75 million KM is planned.

Returnees, i.e., refugees and displaced persons, are planned to receive twice as much money, a total of 48.2 million KM.
