Vispak Strengthens Export Positions by Certifying to IFS Food Standard Requirements

In addition to the quality standards in food production that Vispak d.d. Visoko already possesses, it has also been certified to the IFS standard. The certification was carried out on 25.6.2021 by one of the leading certification and inspection companies in the region, TÜV NORD ADRIATIC.

IFS is a widely applied global standard for controlling food safety and the quality level of manufacturers. These highest food standards are based on the principle of traceability – the ability to track the correctness and quality of the product at every stage of production and distribution, from the primary producer to the end user, at any time.

"Vispak was founded in 1972 and today represents one of the leading food companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The continuous commitment to constant improvements in the business process has resulted in another success, the adoption of the most demanding international standard for quality and safety in the food industry. The entire Vispak team is responsible for adopting the IFS standard, which represents an additional obligation for us, but also a motivation to follow the highest global standards in the future. We focus our attention on our consumers and the production of the highest quality products for them," said Nina Bijedić Mujanović, director of Vispak d.d.

Through IFS certification, brands such as Zlatna Džezva, Vispak soups, teas, Choco club chocolates, and other Vispak products gain maximum consumer trust and strengthen their positions on the shelves of Lidl Slovenia, Edeka Germany, Walmart USA, as well as with other customers in markets outside of BiH. This certificate, which is often a condition set by foreign buyers, opens up potential for acquiring new export markets.

"By adopting the 287 requirements of the IFS standard in the food production sector, VISPAK d.d., a member of AS Holding, has once again confirmed its vision and business policy. The policy of the quality management and food safety system is an integral part of the strategic policy of AS Holding, and its adherence is the commitment and obligation of all employees. We are part of the global family of food producers, constantly promoting the goals of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), primarily through our presence with consumers in the BH, EU, and wider regional markets," said Prof. Dr. Amela Semić from the Directorate for Quality Assurance and Standardization of AS Holding.
